  • Weaving through the City: New Art at SJU Gallery

    Cities are built on grids. From above, streets cut parallel and perpendicular lines through the landscape. Up close, office buildings climb to the sky in stacks of rectangular windows. Philadelphia-based artist Heidi Nam sees beauty in the patterns. Her mixed-media collages representing this beauty will be on display at Saint Joseph’s University Gallery in an exhibition titled “Urban Fabric,” set to run Monday, August 21 through Sunday, September 24.

    Shaily Menon, Ph.D., an accomplished biologist and administrator, joined Saint Joseph’s University as the dean of the College of Arts and Sciences on August 1. Most recently, Menon was associate dean for research, facilities planning and community engagement in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Grand Valley State University.
